All I can say is wow! I am overly impressed by the quality and workmanship of this rifle. The finish is nearly a perfect black, and pictures don’t do it justice. Out of the box it came well greased. I went over the rifle muzzle to butt stock, and every rivet had been perfectly struck. My rifle is straight as an arrow with no canting of the sights whatsoever. My Polish surplus bayonet locked onto the lug just as it is supposed to. The teak wood furniture has great feel as well. I had a slight bit of hand guard wobble after the initial break in (very common with wood furniture on AKs), and Riley Defense was quick to respond to my question the very next day. The owner sent me some shims which corrected the issue with ease. Their passion for the business shows in everything they do, from their quality product to their customer service, you will not be disappointed. Riley Defense is not a large, well-known manufacturer yet, however they are matching the quality of product you will see in rifles of about twice the price. Many similar priced rifles do not include a sight rail, cleaning rod, or bayonet lug, but Riley Defense does. Bottom line, I took a chance on Riley Defense over some better-known AK manufacturers, and I am SO happy I did. If you’re at all on the fence about which AK to get, you’ve found it here.

Outstanding weapon, hitting 18 inch targets at 100 yard with iron sights no problem. And I have bad eye sight! Getting old I guess. Soft shooter. Very satisfied with my purchase of a Riley Defense AK-47. Quality AK! Get one now! Wishing Riley Defense great success in their future.

Purchased your Riley AK classic from Classic Firearms and have been very pleased with the quality, function and reliability of the gun. After minor front sight adjustment I found the gun to be accurate and completely reliable in firing nearly 100 rounds of tula ammo. I was shopping for an AK and Riley Defense made exactly what I was looking for. I couldn’t find many reviews on Riley’s products but Zeke Shoots on Youtube gave them a good recommendation so I took a chance, and I am very happy I did. The construction, fit and finish are excellent. The rifle is straight as a laser. The rivets are all perfect. The trunnion is forged. I had some questions about my rifle and called Riley. Their customer service was outstanding. They are committed to making an excellent rifle at a reasonable price. You can pay more for an AK but I doubt you will get more than bragging rights. You don’t have to take a chance, these rifles are the real deal.

Riley Defense Inc is doing things right. What is well known to most shooters out there is that American Ak47 and their variants are not very good. They have poor design and usually cheaply built. Riley is Different. Their Aks look and feel sturdy and is probably one of my favorite rifles to shoot. They exceed the standard of American Aks and they just don’t quit. I had an issue with a part a few hundred rounds in and was bummed. I emailed Riley and got a response back within minutes saying they would fix it free of charge. I called them to verify that my package had been received by them and was warmly greeted by a women who was extremely helpful in making sure that they got my package. Ater the conversation I felt a lot better knowing it was being taken care of by such courteous people. I love what Riley is doing and I really hope more people see what these they guys are doing. They are the standard for American Aks and I wouldn’t trust anyone else. Keep up the Great work!!!
